Take out your feelings

On the first day of school, Kid's backpacks are full of school supplies and something else, their emotions. June Sobel and Nabila Adani unpack those emotions with care, whimsy, and the lesson of control.


Characters: The characters are nameless but diverse and include a classroom of children and their teachers, coaches, and parents.

Plot: The class arrives for their first day of school and are greeted by their educators.


As the class moves through the day--story time, recess, math, art, lunch, etc. each child feels something different - happy, worried, anger, embarrassed, curious, etc. and learns the lessons of emotional literacy and control.
